About this event
The 4th Toolkit Workshop under Shristi O Anusandhan is scheduled to take place in November 2026 at IIT Kharagpur. Continuing the Centre of Excellence’s ongoing engagement with India’s diverse craft traditions, the workshop will bring together artisans, researchers, designers, technologists and other practitioners for an immersive exploration of a yet-to-be-specified craft tradition. Through hands-on interaction, documentation and interdisciplinary inquiry, the workshop will focus on understanding the materials, tools, processes, techniques, traditional knowledge and science embedded within craft practice, further contributing to the development of a comprehensive and AI-enabled knowledge ecosystem for Indian handicrafts.
